Over the past year, TWLOHA has had the privilege of bringing a message of hope and help to college students through our University Chapters program (otherwise known as "UChapters"). Now three semesters strong, UChapters boasts of 35 gifted and inspired chapters. And as our MOVE Community Conferences continue to fill the calendar with future dates in regions across the US, students continue to have the opportunity to receive the required training to start a chapter on their campus.
So why would you want to start or join a TWLOHA University Chapter? Well, if you are a student who wants to do something with your inspiration and compassion for others but doesn't know how or what that could look like, then beginning a chapter or joining one is a great way. At TWLOHA, we use the word "community" a lot, and it's something we believe can really change someone's life. But it begins with committing to people. UChapters, at the heart, is a group of people that exists to support each other and the student body around them. In short, if you are a student who realizes that people need people, then start or join a chapter.
Our chapters are compassionate activists who give their hearts to bring TWLOHA's mission and vision to life on campus. They organize creative events that are stirring the conversation of mental health. Lives are changing. It's a process, but it's happening.
Below is a list of our newest chapters. We are excited and thankful to welcome them into our community. If you have an interest in beginning or joining a chapter, visit twlohauchapters.com.

I think you guys should have a program just like that, but for high school. Something that can just bring awareness and love for people into the school.

I agree with Liz. I'm 22, but I work with youth at my church and I see a real need for understanding in their lives about the issues you guys represent.

I'm with Liz and Kelly on this. I think we need to bring the age level down a little. Start educating in High School. They need it.

I would love for you guys to set up a program for high school students. I am a senior now, and from experience know that many kids would like to feel a sense of community throught the school, especially at such a critical age. I know that I would love to start a chapter at my school.

I agree with many of the posts above. I'm a sophomore in high school and I think that a Chapter-type program for high schools would be a wonderfully helpful thing.

I agree with Liz. I know a lot of people at my high school that would benefit greatly from an organization such as this. Depression and suicide are becoming too great a problem in high schools across the world and there are organizations in my high school that could help start a chapter of TWLOHA. It has to start somewhere, and even if it is just a small pilot program to bring TWLOHA to high schools, I would be willing to help make it happen. It would only take a small seed to grow a lifelong network of support and hope for teenagers everywhere.

I agree with most of these comments above, twloha is an amazing program and I think it would really benefit teens in high schools everywhere, and I would love to start a chapter in my school. I've lost a few friends already, and I'm just a freshman. My wish is for everyone to know that no matter what, there's hope everywhere.

Awesome that East Tennessee State University has a UChapter, but how is it that the University of Florida has a UChapter and some folks at my alma mater, The University of Tennessee, haven't gotten one together? Go Vols!

I am so glad to see GCSU has a chapter. I attended there over 10 years ago and needed to know that I wasn't alone. Though I live a life of freedom and recover today, knowing there is a group ready to tackle some intimate and painful roads as a community truly is a blessing.

I cannot express how proud I am to be a part of the GCSU UChapter. We have made such an impact on campus already and cannot wait for the movement to spread across the community and hopefully further.
Love!

I think this is a great cause; however, as an online student, my school does not have a chapter. I think you should set up a chapter that meets through a chat room for online students-we need support too!
