This spring, TWLOHA will be launching a series of Move conferences aimed at promoting community and providing tools to raise awareness for the issues we are passionate about. We hope that everyone who attends them will return home with a greater understanding of the issues, as well as the various types of help and treatment that are available. In addition to learning about the issues, attendees will explore what it looks like to live in community and love those around us well.
These conferences will be small (20-25 people) and are designed to be personal. The conferences will be hosted by TWLOHA Staff and led by Aaron Moore, a Licensed Mental Health Professional. Aaron Moore has been involved with TWLOHA from the early days of the organization, and currently works as a counselor in Orlando. He works with individuals, families, and couples who struggle with a variety of issues, including those central to TWLOHA (depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide).
Conference dates:
March 12-14
March 19-21
March 26-28
April 2-4
The conference will take place in Cocoa Beach, Florida at the Hampton Inn. All attendees are responsible for their own transportation to and from the conference site. There are two pricing options for the conference: for those willing to share a room, the total cost for the conference will be $350. For those who would rather have their own private room, the conference cost will be $500. These prices include conference fees, hotel rooms, and two meals per day. There will be a $100 non-refundable deposit due March 2nd, 2009. Additionally, you should plan to purchase one meal a day for yourself, the rest of your meals will be covered by MOVE.
There are very limited openings for this conference, so we expect it to fill up fast. If you are interested, please fill out the conference request form found HERE. All requests are due February 2 and approvals will be notified by February 6, 2009. Please email SpringBreak@twloha.com for info and questions.
