And now we get to answer the question...
Hey Guys,
Last Tuesday night - it was after midnight so i guess that makes it Wednesday morning - Chloe from our team came across something special online. USA TODAY had just announced they would be giving away a free full-page ad. It would be a full-color ad and it would be awarded to the non-profit that rallied the most tweets in support of their cause. They sell these ads for $189,000 and companies pay that because four million people read USA TODAY.We went to work. On Twitter and on twloha.com and in an email to our supporters, asking folks to tweet, to help us spread the word... At the heart of the matter was an exciting possibility, a rather wild question: What would we say to four million people? Thanks to your incredible support, we get to answer that question now. It is an unbelievable opportunity to introduce the mission and message of TWLOHA, an enormous opportunity to move people, to encourage, to break the silence, to let folks know they're not alone...We'll keep you posted as we get to work on the ad. We would love to hear from you. What do you think we should say to four million people? What should we place on this stage? At reply (@TWLOHA) on Twitter, and make sure to include "#AmericaWants" in your tweet.Right now, we simply want to say, "Thank You." Your support is indescribable. We have a voice because of yours. We are all in this together, this conversation about pain and hope. From all of us at TWLOHA, thanks beyond words.Peace to you today.jamiePS: Additional Links: USA Today Social Media Lounge, USA Today Kindness, and USA Today Press Release.PS2: We want to thank USA TODAY and we also want to thank our friends in Switchfoot, Thrice, The Almost, Anberlin and Frank and Derol for their support. Huge thanks also to Invisible Children, the Catalyst community, Anis Mojgani, Anne Jackson and C.J. & Damien Hobgood. One more: Jack Dorsey, thanks for inventing Twitter.Posted in General by jamie tworkowski

Congratulations! I was one of the MANY MANY people who tweeted for you guys. There's no one else I could see really making use of the ad space. TWLOHA is so important to a lot of people and I know that TWLOHA and their volunteers a great source of strength for 'us'. I believe they could say just a few words and inspire, educate, and bring hope to Americans.
This makes me extremely happy in a dark moment in my life. It goes without being said that hope for the best: rescue is real. you can be healed. Thank you, USA today, for making the right choice.

Hey, over the past couple months I've lost 3 friends. One of the friends I lost was my BEST friend. She meant everything to me. She had a story, but she never told anyone but me. Now she cant tell it. Should I tell her story? My story is about her. Ever since I lost her I find that the only cure for pain is more pain. I feel it's my fault she commited suicide. When she ran away for that day, and she didnt come in school. I knew. The night before she called me saying that she was going to do it. I didn't believe her. Now it's too late. Shes gone. Now im left with nothing. I want someone to talk to. I've tryed the hotlines but they dont help me at all. I need to talk to someone who's been through the same thing I'm going through right now. My parents don't care what i do. My dad is in Iraq, and my mom is an alcoholic. I have no one. Shes gone :(

I am so excited that any ad would hit this large of a readership. I'm alive is our vote here at our house, but some room needs to be left for the original story. Then more people will write love on their arms.
MITCHELL!!! e-mail me too, man. Mitchell happens to be my maiden name. I am here. Duckymama@aol.com. Let people reach out to you...you are not alone and it was not your fault. I promise you it was not your fault.

Mitchel
I know that it feels like you are fighting alone. I know what its like to be the person drowning in thoughts of ending my own life, and I know what its like to be the person struggling to keep my best friend alive. You are not alone. You do not struggle alone. You do not hurt alone. You do not weep tears of regret alone. Sometimes it seems like the stories that you hear all have happy endings except for your own and then you wonder if those stories are true and heartfelt- did these people really struggle? They did. And its possible to get out of this life alive, just maybe a little stronger and a little sadder for all the experiences. Your friend's life matters, and though your stories are entwined, this isn't your fault. And stories matter. They teach lessons, no matter how heavy and heartbreaking the lesson may be. Take the lesson and run with it. Because lessons are important. And stories are important... yours and your best friends.
There is more to life than pain. There is joy and love, too. Just keep holding on to what life you have left. I'm praying for you.

Just letting you know your past does not have to determine your future. No matter who you are your life is beautiful, even if it doesn’t look good from where you’re sitting. Sit somewhere else and change your perspective. Every breath is a second chance, every second an opportunity, so take them by the hand and live your life. You’re more loved than you’ll ever know. True.

Thanks to everyone who let their voices be heard, and thanks to TWLOHA. You have helped save countless lives, stop countless addictions, and encouraged people all over the world to keep going. You've helped me to help others know their stories matter. Words cannot describe my gratitude. May the One Who Wrote the Love Story bless To Write Love. <3
@ Mitchel: I don't know you, but when I read your story, my heart ached for you. I will be praying for you, friend. Don't loose sight of your story. Please know that you and your story matter more than you know. It matters to me, I care. You don't have to go through this alone. <3
