    THIS FRIDAY NIGHT!! YOU'RE INVITED!!

The Buried Life (on MTV) is a show about four guys living their dreams, doing all the things they want to do before they die. Well, that's half the show. The other half is them helping other people realize their dreams.

They recently heard from a girl named Lexie. Lexie is 22 years old and she lives in Rochester, Minnesota. She is a TWLOHA supporter and her dream is to create a night that points to hope and help in her hometown. Lexie knows what it is to struggle with depression and self-injury and she wants other people who live with these issues to know they're not alone.

Her dream is coming to life this Friday night (8/6) in Rochester, Minnesota and you're invited!! Mat Kearney will be playing music (which absolutely rules) and Anis Mojgani will be sharing his words. TWLOHA info and merch will be available and we will be working to make people aware of resources - places where they can find help in their community.

    Details:

    Hill Theater at
    Rochester Community and Technical College
    851 30th Ave SE
    Rochester, MN 55904

Event is FREE / Open to All Ages.
    Doors at 7:15 / Event at 8:00
Join us for a very special night!!

    Peace to you.
    jamie

PS: Check out the announcement on The Buried Life's facebook.

What an awesome event last night!! Lexie's did a fantastic job with her speech and I can not wait to see the impact of her message on our community. I have never heard of TWLOHA and I will be sharing information with everyone I know!! THANK YOU FOR COMING TO ROCHESTER!!!

Thanks for the program last night - I am a speech instructor at RCTC and would love to help folks in the area solidify Lexie's wish to create a safe place in our area for folks to discuss these important issues that are too often silenced. We'll help you find support as well as advocate for your mental health concerns! We have a great Psychology Club at RCTC, a wonderful counseling/advising staff, nurturing faculty members -- and of course amazing students, such as Lexie!

Feel free to email me or find me in PH 402 to help out! Our President and college are here to help you too!

PS - maybe a RCTC/Roch TWLOHA Facebook Page might connect folks too? We could connect it to other students in our area and at RCTC who don't know about your organization?

Jamie, thank you so much for coming out last night. The combination of TWLOHA and TBL really was a dream come true for me. It was such a blessing to be able to talk with you, and give you the huge hug I have been saving for you for years!

"Kelly is not my sister's or my mom's name, but now I can say I have a friend named Kelly!" haha :).

I missed it. :( I didn't have a computer all last week, otherwise I would have been there in a heartbeat if I had known. Well I hope it was an awesome experience.

ALSO! I just thought I would share this with all of you: I shared my story two days ago for the first time and the person I told actually listened... well mainly just let me soak his shirt with tears. But I just thought I would tell you... so much healing comes with simply admitting to your worst fears.

That's super awesome. I wish there were more events like this in northern California, mainly Sacramento. That would be pretty awesome. And I do agreed with a previous comment, there should be a night like this everywhere in the world. Everyone everywhere needs to be reminded that hope is around us and it never left.
