C.J. Hobgood grew up with TWLOHA founder Jamie Tworkowski. Today, he is using his platform as one of the world's best surfers to support TWLOHA in a major way. We caught up with him during the Pipeline Masters in Hawaii to talk about life on tour, transition and chickens.Posted in General by Chris Youngblood

haha, That was great. "Chickens are such weird animals, man!" That's cool that TWLOHA is branching out and touching more peoples' lives.

TWLOHA is such a new and needed, brave and beautiful, miracle and ministry. Praying for all a part of this...hurting, in pain, hopeful, loving, unknown, known.... you're life matters!

I was at this beach a a few days after this was shot. Good piece on surfing and the emotional highs and lows that come with the job, and with life. It was cool to see how the surfers - although they compete with each other - are really close and genuinely care for one another. I can't even begin to imagine what a loss they felt when they learned that Andy had passed away.
The chicken bit at the end is hilarious! There are a TON of wild chickens on the north shore... and roosters! I went into the Starbucks at the Foodland store a mile or two down the road from where they shot this and found a hen with her chicks, all of them standing in a parking spot. Loved it!
Hang loose and live with aloha.

Well TWLOHA says all this "good love" but if they'd REALLY LOVE everybody- then WHY can't they spend part of their year spending some time at highschools as well? I think of depression as being able to start when you're in highschool anyways!? and i bet it mostly sparks in highschool THEN really developes in your college-age years! i kind of think, in a small way, that THAT is kind of selfish! why can't you think about highschool adolesence for once...my student body- the class of 2012: WE ARE THE FUTURE!! not those 20-23 year olds who are going to be in their 40s or 50s by the time weare THEIR ages! so WHY NOT? ...thats all I ask!

I live on Oahu. I Live in Kailua on the Windward side and actually the waves arent that bad up at north shore lately. They were ALMOST big enough for the Eddie but sadly they didnt make the cut :( but in the last few days the sets have been pretty big and the current and riptide has been pretty strong, down by the jumping rock the lifeguards wouldnt let you swim unless you were VERY experienced and had fins on or you were a surfer thats used to this kind of terrain. Hope it helps. and I heard that this weekend the waves are gonna be prety big, you should check it out :)
